A virus called Corona:

The entry of the not so very novel Corona with no novel antiviral has created a crisis situation today. A pandemic called COVID puts the entire humanity to rest in a lockdown stage. It is surprising to note that with over 20 million affected cases and over 1 lakh deaths across the globe, we are still reeling under the pressure to contain the virus, we are not able to create an antidote for a microorganism which has caused havoc. What a state of helplessness we are in.

The preventive steps:

We learned this when we were children, that ‘Prevention is better than cure’. Keeping in mind today’s current situation that seems to be the only solution to keep us safe as there is no drug and no success stories of any trial happening. Now even little children to grown-ups know what to do to protect from coronavirus. Most importantly from the global point of view, social distancing seems to be the only solution to contain the disease. What we can do is basically get strong with our immunity and care for ourselves through preventive measures.

Let’s reflect:

With this lockdown let’s reflect upon a few things like: Look at the birds, the animals, they are free and happy. If we think of us, we humans have always had a destructive mind and maybe our insensitivity towards nature and its natural resources, our rapid thought of development causing harm to nature, adds pollution and has taken a major toll on our health, immunity, etc. We are so busy that we fail to give time to ourselves and look after our own wellness.

So this lockdown lets pledge towards healthy living, fight COVID, build strong immunity, follow Ayurveda as a holistic way of living.
